Serous Retinopathy Associated With Combination MEK and Fibroblast Growth Factor Receptor Inhibitor

نویسندگان

چکیده

Purpose: To present a case of chemotherapy regimen combining fibroblast growth factor receptor (FGFR) and mitogen-activated protein kinase (MEK) inhibitor leading to serous retinopathy. Methods: A retrospective chart review single was performed. Results: 67-year-old man with pancreatic prostate cancer developed bilateral multifocal pockets subretinal fluid while on an experimental MEK (trametinib) FGFR (erdafitinib). Conclusions: Given that lies upstream the signaling pathway, retinal toxicity may be more severe common FGFR–MEK combination therapy. Future studies are necessary guide ophthalmic surveillance.

Transient MEK inhibitor-associated retinopathy in metastatic melanoma.

BACKGROUND Melanoma is one of the most aggressive skin cancers. Recently, selective MEK inhibitors have shown efficacy in patients with advanced BRAF- and NRAS-mutant melanoma. Soon after the initiation of clinical oncology trials with MEK inhibitors, it was observed that some participants developed an eye condition resembling central serous chorioretinopathy. The present article addresses the ...

crouzon syndrome: a fibroblast growth factor receptor 2 gene mutation

crouzon syndrome is a rare autosomal dominant premature cranyosynostosis, caused by fibroblast growth factor receptor 2 gene mutation on chromosome 10. the predominant skull and facial malformations with potential compromise airway make the crouzon syndrome a demanding issue for anesthesiologists and surgeons, required dynamic team work. in this report we describe a child, a known case of crouz...

Mutations in fibroblast growth factor receptor 2 and fibroblast growth factor receptor 3 genes associated with human gastric and colorectal cancers.

Autosomal dominant disorders of skeletal and cranial development have been linked to fibroblast growth factor receptor (FGFR) 2 and FGFR3. Here we report two identical mutations in FGFR2 that cause craniosynostosis syndromes, Crouzon, Apert, and Pfeiffer in gastric carcinoma. A missense mutation (Ser267Pro) in exon IIIa and a splice site mutation (940-2A-->G) in exon IIIc were detected in gastr...

Fibroblast growth factor-2-induced signaling through lipid raft-associated fibroblast growth factor receptor substrate 2 (FRS2).

The plasma membrane is not homogeneous but contains specific subcompartments characterized by their unique lipid and protein composition. Based on their enrichment in various signaling molecules, these membrane microdomains are recognized to be sites of localized signal transduction for a number of extracellular stimuli. We have previously shown that fibroblast growth factor-2 (FGF2) induced a ...

FGFR2 (fibroblast growth factor receptor 2)

FGFR2 gene, consisting of at least 21 exons, encodes multiple isoforms due to alternative splicing. FGFR2b and FGFR2c with extracellular three Ig-like domains, transmembrane domain and cytoplasmic tyrosine kinase domain, are representative FGFR2 isoforms almost identical except the latter half of the third Ig-like domain. Exon 9 and 10, corresponding to the latter half of the third Ig-like doma...
